vs Yate Development 21st August

Morning all

Time to reflect on whats been a busy but very productive week for the boys :)

Yesterday saw the boys face more tough opposition in the form of Yate Development Centre  for their 3rd fixture in seven days. It was yet again another tough fixture for the boys against a well established Yate outfit.  As we’d done in the previous fixtures against Ashton Boys and Cardiff Ladies we had periods of good passing combinations and looked comfortable in possession in the first and middle thirds, yet we lacked that cutting edge in the all important final third and created very few goal scoring opportunities as a result. This being said i was more than happy with the boys performance yesterday as we look to gel what is a new side. Whilst we have depth and cover in the majority of positions we are lacking in others and therefore we need these friendlies to establish which system fits best with the players we have, this will take time and require the boys dedication, versatility and willingness to play in a variety of positions which will only enhance their knowledge and understanding of the game.

Late ran out comfortable winners yesterday final score Paulton Rovers 0 - 3 Yate Development.

Well done to all the boys for their efforts over the past week !!

Update regarding forthcoming fixtures:

Friday 26th August - Due to lack of availability there will be no fixture on this date.

Saturday 3rd September - We have enough players for this fixture but as yet i’ve been unable to arrange opposition , but I’m confident i will sort something in the coming days, more info to follow.

Reminder: Training tomorrow 7.30-8.40 at Somervale School astro.

Lastly could those boys who’ve not already done so please pass their mobile numbers to me so i can copy them in on all related info.

See you tomoz
